Spot the Difference: AI-Powered Production Planning at AVT

We have been working on the “Find the Gap” project since the beginning of the year. Our goal is to use an AI-based production planning tool to identify gaps in our production chain. Five additional medium-sized companies from Thuringia have since joined the project.

A consistent rhythm instead of isolated actions

We analyze the data every week. On Fridays, we review the results, and on Monday mornings, we discuss what we need to optimize during our meeting. This has already helped us identify several gaps. Some of them have already been significantly reduced, while others we’ve eliminated entirely from our processes.

Funding

The project is funded by the Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Landwirtschaft und ländlichen Raum as part of its intensive consulting and process support program for SMEs, and is co-financed with funds from the European Social Fund (ESF) Plus. Thanks to this funding, we will be able to continue developing our processes in the coming months.
